September Wedding Ideas #1

Weddings are always so much fun and anytime I can help someone is awesome! Looking up these things gave me some great inspiration and ideas for my own celebrations to come, so that was an added bonus. Winning. LoL Congratulations to you, Ms Hutton, on your engagement and thanks for allowing me to help for such a special occasion! :o) I know there are a few other people with upcoming nuptials, so maybe there is something in here useful for you as well. Congratulations to Trevor Ford, Lauren Spence, and my big sis Ms. Heather Thornton!!

SAVE THE DATES/INVITATIONS:
Ok, so these were a bit on the pricier side ($45 set up fee plus $1.80 per item), but I love how unique this is!
Along with these cool save-the-dates I found personalized postage stamps. Über cute at $10-15(+ shipping) per sheet of 20, it doesn't make my list for cost-effective, but it is unique. Click here for the website.

PARTY FAVORS:
These are brownie pops. I read the reviews and they all said how delicious these were! I'm thinking of ordering some for my housewarming to try them out. You can get the bride/groom, monogram, or the decorative style. They are too adorable!

Candles are a great goodie bag stuffer. I found this auction on Ebay. This auction expires in 9 days and its for the candles AND the glass holders. $50 for 72 candles w/holders! There are several different candle colors to choose from. Here is the link to the auction:

PLEASE NOTE: ANYTIME YOU BUY ON EBAY, ALWAYS USE PAYPAL TO INSURE YOUR PURCHASE IN THE EVENT THERE IS EVER A PROBLEM WITH THE TRANSACTION!

FAVOR BAGS:
Creating and assembling your own favors is a great way to cut costs. This is something you can do along the way during your planning process. Pick a day (or a couple) to round up the bridal party and have girl time and get a much-needed hand assembling your 100+ goodie bags!
A personalized bag like this would be perfect for those brownie pops I showed you earlier.

These would be perfect for the candles I showed you earlier. You can add a few Hershey's kisses to them also. The ribbon and labels on these boxes are not included but still a great deal at 55¢ per bag. You can always find ribbon at a craft store or Wal-Mart (my second home) on clearance.

By far, the MOST cost effective favor bag idea are the trusty organza pouches. I found sale of 100 pouches for about $16 (that's 16¢ per pouch!)

LABELS:

Labels are a great, inexpensive way to personalize your big day. You can use them as envelope seals, stick them on favor boxes or favors..You can even stick them on a bottled water. ¡Voilà! Instant party favor! They cost about $8/sheet. The amount of labels/sheet varies depending on the style and size you need. (These would be great for the candles I showed you earlier)
These are cute also and for $8.88(free shipping!) you get 216 Hershey kiss labels in the design of your choice! (Chocolates not included) Click here for the auction!

I have a million ideas on favors so I'll keep it simple and just show you a few LoL You can browse through the website and check out the rest. They have great stuff that doesn't cost a lot.

BRIDESMAIDS:

(These are just ideas of what peach and chocolate would look like as your colors)

I LOVE chiffon dresses! They are elegant and timeless. I really like this for an evening ceremony. I think this style would suit all body types without stealing any attention from you, and it comes in all different colors. I called the CT retailer for the price and it's $250 before shipping (and tax, I think) i will keep a lookout for a less expensive version of this if you like it too:

(This is the largest photo I could find without you going to the site. I wanted to upload the brown dress, but this will have to do)
Maybe if your ceremony is earlier in the day, you want a shorter dress. This one is chiffon too and simple. I like the fact that this dress can be worn again for another event or date night, so your bridesmaids can really get their money's worth. The price tag on this one is $84 before tax & shipping and it comes in several different colors. Click here for the link

For their fabulous bridal dress sale (ending May 5) click here! (Gown shown is on sale for $197)

FLOWER GIRL/JR BRIDESMAID DRESSES:

These are just darling! I also like the price tag, about $24 (shipping incl) It looks like these are probably handmade by the seller, so you may be able to discuss specific colors.
David's Bridal is having an online and in-store sale as well. Prices on the better dresses are $35 & up (plus tax)

TABLE CENTERPIECE IDEAS:

Great lighting on the tables make a big difference and candles don't cost much either. These pics came from Ebay listings for "floating candles" or "candle (votive) holder" You can also get LED "candles" on ebay in bulk for cheap

I ABSOLUTELY **LOVE** flower balls and I want them at my own ceremony when I renew my vows. They are super easy to make and I bet you can mix silk flowers with real ones to save money and still look great. (I told you, I'm cheap) lol

Flower Arranging:
How To Make A Ball Of Flowers With An Oasis

I found another tutorial for making pomanders (flower balls) OUT OF TISSUE PAPER!!! The bargain-hunter in me is soooooo excited for this idea!! This idea WILL be tried out at my housewarming as well!! I'm so excited to try this out!! Silk and live flowers can be costly. Flowers are one of the top 5 big-ticket items at weddings. You can end up spending hundreds of dollars on flowers alone so I'm happy to find this video. These can be made with or without ribbons for hanging. I think they will look great for decoration down the aisles hooked onto the pews, then after the ceremony they can be taken down and taken to your reception hall for table centerpieces. For about $5 or less per ball, that's a great cost-cutter. This tutorial is broken down into 3 parts. Here is part 1:

MISC. DECOR:

These pieces are big and dramatic. I like these ideas for a display table, like the gift table, guest sign-in, favor table, or the wedding party table:

Alright, I know you may be saying, "ENOUGH WITH THE FAKE FLOWERS ALREADY!!" But I saw this and it was so creative and cute! These are made of...you guessed it, tissue paper. I think the finished result is pretty cute. Here is the tutorial link
This is an alternate tutorial that may or may not be easier
..and another.
Isn't this a neat idea? I love this! As you can see, I am completely entranced with this whole paper flower thing...

TABLE SETTING:

I think with a few adjustments on the centerpiece this table would look prettier, but i love these colors together, very romantic and fall friendly

Ok, so that's all for installment 1 of my wedding ideas! Let me know what did or did not work for you!
